How to Make a Kentucky Mule


Who says you can’t have your copper mug and your bourbon, too? This twist on the Moscow Mule pairs American whiskey and ginger beer for a refreshing summer cocktail. Learn how to make the Kentucky Mule with top bartender Allison Widdecombe.


  • 2 oz Woodford Reserve Bourbon
  • .5 oz Fresh lime juice
  • Ginger Beer
  • Garnish: Mint sprigs
  • Glass: Moscow Mule mug or Highball

Add the bourbon and lime juice to a Moscow Mule mug or a highball glass. Fill the mug or glass with ice and top with ginger beer. Add mint sprigs for garnish.

    Thanks for the recipe! I have had "Moscow Mules", made by a friend and I must say that when he serves it in a copper mug it adds to the whole experience.
