I have loved Brandy Alexanders since I was 18. That was the legal drinking age in GA at the time. My grandfather made this for me. I still whip one up every now and then.

Although he is correct regarding using a good cognac, rather than just bar brandy to concoct this delicious beverage, I also say rather than using plain domestic dark creme de cacao, to substitute a wonderful white chocolate liqueur, such as Godiva. It makes the finished product so much more delicate and flavorful .

I've always said that making this incredibly delicious cocktail with dark Creme de Cacao was the poor mans' way. He is correct here by saying that a good cognac ought to be used, though instead of pouring Creme de Cacao, substitute that with White Godiva. It makes the better Courvoisier Alexander .
