How to Make a Boulevardier

How to Cocktail: Boulevardier

Swap out the gin in a Negroni for rye whiskey and you get this delicious elixir, the Boulevardier.


Add all the ingredients to a rocks glass filled with ice and stir to combine. Garnish with an orange twist.
(To serve the drink up, add all the ingredients to a mixing glass and fill with ice. Stir, and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with an orange twist.)

    I have to wonder about "flaming" the orange peel garnish. Aside from looking cool, what does that accomplish? It would seem all it does is burn off the volatile oils you are trying to express onto the drink by squeezing the peel.
