With the opening of The Wooly Public (a new space adjacent to the still-private entertainment spot The Wooly), everyone is invited to revel in the beauty and legacy of the historic Woolworth Building. Mayahuel alumnus Eryn Reece helms the bar, which serves up pitch-perfect classic and original cocktails, while Maison Premiere vet Jeff Srole brings out lunch, dinner and bar food that, like the decor, seamlessly melds old and new New York—plus Peking Duck Tater-Tots!
THE DRINK TO DRINK: Start your exploration of the bar’s New Editions original cocktails with the Woolynesia (made with Greenhook Ginsmiths Old Tom gin, Ancho Verde poblano chile liqueur, Aperol, Giffard Crème de Pêche de Vigne liqueur, passion fruit, lime juice, cinnamon and ginger).
KNOW BEFORE YOU GO: Look up and down for the bar’s mascot, a wooly mammoth. You’ll find it subtly embedded into design details and not so subtly on some of the glassware.
