Located in low-key Lincoln Square, the neighborhood lounge of Benjamin Schiller (Boka, Berkshire Room) serves creative cocktails with no pretense. Case in point: the Silly Rabbit, based in Fords gin with flavors inspired by Trix cereal; and the Spaceman Spiff, served over a cedar smoke–filled “aquarium.” The staff is as skilled with off-menu standards as the tongue-in-cheek talkers.

THE DRINK TO DRINK: Autumn Into Summer, a brandy- and bourbon–based cocktail that tastes like it sounds, finished with sherry, clove and vanilla.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO: Next door (and owned by the same group) is the delicious Roots Handmade Pizza, where a predictable wait creates excuses for another round.
