Around the corner from this modern Mexican spot, follow the glow of the neon agave plant to this basement speakeasy. Quiote’s fully stocked mezcal bar serves all of its upstairs restaurant’s fantastic mezcal-infused cocktails, as well as flights and favorites called on the spot. The space has always been a little bonus to the restaurant upstairs (in its former life as an Italian trattoria, it was an amaro bar) and as a result doesn’t have a distinctive personality of its own. But if you’re serious about mezcal, there are plenty of reasons to stick around.
