The Pearl neighborhood of Portland is known for its dense concentration of hoity-toity restaurants and fancy cocktail bars. Lowbrow Lounge—as its name might suggest—is neither of those things. The bar’s saloon-like vibe is dark and dingy in all the right ways.
Sometimes, it’s difficult for dive bars to hang on when rents are driven up by an influx of new tenants more interested in fusion cuisine than a neighborhood watering hole. Thankfully, The Lowbrow Lounge is still going strong.
