One of the Bywater’s most notorious spots for swimming, sunning and people watching, The Country Club is nothing like the tennis-playing and twin set–wearing club of the suburbs. Locals in every variety of scantily clad bathing suit imaginable occupy the mansion’s saltwater pool, sauna and hot tub, while a cabana bar hustles slushy favorites and music pumps from the speakers. After the sun goes down, a 25-foot screen emerges to show movies, sporting events and more—but the pool itself is usually entertainment enough. If you’re less inclined to get wet, The Country Club’s also has a popular bottomless mimosa brunch on weekends.
Know Before You Go: Even though being naked here is technically a no-no, if you’re uncomfortable with nudity, this isn’t the spot for you.
