This playful venue adds San Francisco–inspired street food to the burgeoning Harlem drinking and dining scene. The well-lit bar-restaurant has a retro, approachable manner with ’40s-era pinup girls and cocktails featuring clever names like Thai Me Up, Sin on Wheels and Foxy Brown (a Harlem nod, as is Dirty Cash, a reference to the money rained down in strip clubs). The food may be San Francisco-ish—a Sexy Ta-Cow features ground beef, cheddar cheese and Rice-a-Roni—but Harlem moments include the Chimi Burger, Dominican Style and a Quesadilla Suiza with Chicken Cubana. You’ll find wines, beers, frozen drinks and, yes, a California burrito the size of a small manatee.

THE DRINK TO DRINK: Kermit’s Revenge is a Margarita with an avocado kick, perfect for pairing with steak Super Nachos.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO: There’s an extended happy hour with $5 Margaritas and Pacifico beer, $6 wines and sangria and $9 cocktails, from 3 to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday.
