Initially there was an uproar from neighborhoodies when this beloved 30-year-old Venice institution was bought by restaurant group Sprout LA. But its transformation to a beautiful market, restaurant and café with a brand-new bar helped quiet some discontent. The drink options to complement chef Jason Neroni’s fresh California cuisine include a mix of French, Italian and West Coast wines, playful takes on classic cocktails and bottle and draft craft beer.

The Drink to Drink: Algonquin with rye, pineapple scrub, caramelized pineapple gomme and dry vermouth.

Know Before You Go: Is the wait too long for a table? Grab a seat at the bar, which is on a first-come, first-served basis. You can still order food.
