WHY HERE: Drawing inspiration from its namesake neighborhood in Barcelona, including its Gaudí-like undulating, curvy bar design, Raval aims to bring the best of vibrant Spain to Toronto. It’s always nice when a cocktail menu comes with descriptions, and lucky for us this one does. House-made amaro also goes well with the Spanish-style menu.
WHY NOW: Kick off your evening or enjoy a leisurely all-day session with a lineup of vermouth and sherry while snacking on shared small bites and enjoying the buzzy scene. The cocktail menu also reflects Spanish sensibilities, with plenty more sherry alongside gin and low-ABV drinks. The food menu, by Grant Van Gameren, features tapas that prove a little different from the usual. Think fried eggplant with honey, duck hearts with dates, and Basque cheesecake.
