Jim Meehan’s long-awaited new bar is a stunning ode to Frank Lloyd Wright, the famous 19th-century architect with whom Meehan shares a suburban upbringing—and a penchant for Japanese culture. Located in Chicago’s burgeoning Fulton Market district, the cushy leather-trimmed lounge serves a dozen or so cocktails starring carefully curated indigenous ingredients, making for well-balanced odes to America’s heartland. Additional specials rotate with every new seki, Japan’s traditional 24-season calendar.
