Few drinks have gotten as much buzz as the vivid Gun Metal Blue at Porchlight. But beyond this mezcal-meets–blue curaçao creation, there are plenty of less kitschy ones at Danny Meyer’s Southern-accented bar, such as the Behind the Mule (Dickel White Corn Whiskey, Mr. Katz’s Rock & Rye Whiskey, fresh lime juice, ginger, raspberry vinegar).
THE DRINK TO DRINK:
Head bartender Nick Bennett’s 28th & Tonic is a sparkling wine–topped summer standby, melding Tito’s Vodka with Tomr’s Tonic, fresh lemon juice and elderberry syrup.
KNOW BEFORE YOU GO:
Making a trek this deep into West Chelsea deserves the rewards of proper vittles. Luckily this can happen by ordering boiled-peanut hummus and jalapeno-cheddar cornbread.
