The second-wave Tiki revival has somehow eluded NYC—until now. Located in the newest Pod Hotel, in Times Square, is this massive paean to tropical drinking, blending the 1940s and today. Helmed by veteran Brian “Tiki Mondays” Miller (originally of Death & Co), the launch menu features 19 original cocktails and four large-format drinks, along with beloved classics. Polynesian-inspired murals, privacy screens and a lava stone bar top add to the mood.

THE DRINK TO DRINK: Miller’s signature, the Derelict, made with four different rums, bourbon, absinthe, lime and grapefruit juice, lilikoi (yellow passion fruit) purée, banana liqueur and bitters

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO: The private lounge pays tribute to Miller’s love of pirates and offers rare, vintage and unusual rums.
