One of the most unique theme bars to open in some time, Park & Field is a throwback sports tavern with quirky character to spare. All of its vintage props and tchotchkes—faded wool pennants, a leather pommel horse, life-size black-and-white boxing portraits—were sourced from second-hand shops and seemingly arranged with Instagram in mind. Reminiscent of River North drinking halls, the place is likely to fill up once the weather cooperates with its 6,000-square-foot patio, complete with bocce ball courts, Adirondack-encircled fire pits and a portable trailer bar. As for the drinks, new-school cocktails are inspired by standards, and the beer and wine lists are diverse. THE DRINK TO DRINK: Anything from the well-edited list of local bottles and cans is a safe bet. KNOW BEFORE YOU GO: Unlike most Logan Square bars, Park & Field offers a full food menu, so you can get cozy under those Pendleton blankets around the fire pit and stay awhile.
