WHY HERE: This brightly decorated Cuba-by-way-of-Miami bar is the brainchild of award-winning bartender Ricky Gomez (Teardrop Lounge, Cure), who was inspired by his family’s own Cuban heritage. Cuban-themed food—fricasé de pollo, medianoche sandwiches—pairs nicely with some of the best classic and house-made cocktails in the city.

WHY NOW: In tribute to Havana’s legendary Floridita bar and Cuba’s contribution to cocktail history, Gomez and his team mix up Daiquiris in more than a half-dozen ways, including the blended, frozen Daiquiri #3 (white rum, lime juice, grapefruit juice, grapefruit oleo saccharum syrup and maraschino liqueur).
