Opened by Paul McGee in the dead of winter 2015, this cozy Tiki den made the James Beard shortlist for outstanding bar program its first year and for good reason. The Polynesian-themed parlor is inviting and fun, staffers’ rum game is on point, and every drink is a succinct tribute to the bygone era of teeny paper umbrellas.
THE DRINK TO DRINK: All of them. But start with the signature Lost Lake: aged Jamaican rum, passionfruit, lime, pineapple, maraschino and Campari.
KNOW BEFORE YOU GO: If you can, come early to stake your claim in The Cave, the dark annex around the corner from the main room.
