This iconic century-old Greenwich Village space was renovated instead of demolished, and refreshed with a new menu of Italian-inflected eats and drinks. Those drinks include a full complement of Negroni-style cocktails, plus other aperitivo-worthy drinks created by barman Naren Young.

THE DRINK TO DRINK: Garibaldi, a refreshing, low-alcohol sipper made with Campari and fresh-squeezed “fluffy” orange juice

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO: Arrive hungry. You can order the full menu at the bar. Order everything from the crudo section, and carry on from there.
