Tucked inside one of those weird narrow buildings along the train in Williamsburg, this joyful, sunny spot evokes French neighborhood bars with its faux-distressed walls and early-20th-century artifacts hanging on the walls, including, of course, bicycles. Taking over the old Cafe Moto spot, Johnny McCormick (the designer behind Maison Premiere and St. Mazie) welcomes the neighborhood with a simple, straightforward list of drinks and small bites, including vegetarian plates.
THE DRINK TO DRINK: House cocktails are numbered rather than named. The Number 3 is a refreshing (and arguably healthy-ish) mix of whiskey, tomato juice and fresh basil.
KNOW BEFORE YOU GO: Live music Thursdays through Saturdays makes this a perfect little spot to duck into for the evening.
