Opened May 23 in the Minnesota Street Project building, Alta is the second location of master chef Daniel Patterson’s (Daniel Patterson Group) Alta and what will be one of three Alta locations. Housed in an affordable complex of galleries for forward-thinking artists, you can stroll exhibits pre- or post-meal. Dine on chef Matt Brimer’s seasonal beauties like Santa Rosa plum gazpacho or inspired comfort dishes like Monterey squid porridge.
THE DRINK TO DRINK: DPG beverage director Aaron Paul goes playful with a low-proof cocktail menu that showcases four sparkling wine cocktails on tap and other low-ABV sippers. On draft, the Hotel Valentine is minty root-beer-esque fun with Carpano bianco vermouth, cherry, peppermint, birch and sparkling wine.
