The classic Margarita, a widely beloved cocktail made by combining tequila, fresh lime juice, and triple sec or agave nectar as the drinker prefers, is one of the world’s most popular drinks for good reason. But sometimes you want something even fruitier and bursting with summer flavor, something easier to gulp down beside (or in) a pool.
What you want in those times is a frozen Strawberry Margarita.
It takes the classic Margarita’s bright flavors and adds a super-fruity pop, turning an already festive drink into a crowd-pleaser that announces the party has started.
This drink couldn’t be easier to whip up: Just throw everything into a blender with ice and give it a spin until it’s slushy. Multiply the ingredients by the number of drinkers to whip up a large crowd-pleasing batch all at once.
Of course, you can certainly take the more elegant option of muddling the strawberries in a shaker, then adding everything else plus ice, and serving it in a rocks glass over fresh ice, mimicking the proper and correct way to enjoy the classic, non-strawberry version of the drink. But if you’re craving a Strawberry Margarita, the odds are that you’re in the mood for something a little less serious and a little more fun. Go ahead and break out your blender for this one.
