Not all great cocktails need to be made with four or five—or more—ingredients. In fact, there are plenty of delicious three-ingredient drinks—and there some excellent recipes that are even simpler.
So we picked our favorite drinks that have just two ingredients but are still quite tasty. Not only are these elixirs incredibly easy to make, but they are really quite quaffable. You can even leave out the garnishes if you’re in a hurry!

An all-time classic, this drink exudes old-fashioned sophistication. The club soda adds a thirst- quenching effervescence and opens up the whisky a bit, releasing a range of flavors.
Ginger ale doesn’t get the mixological respect it deserves. The sweet-and-spicy beverage is a key ingredient in many recipes, including the Moscow Mule, and we love it paired with bourbon in this drink. The name comes from its garnish: a long, thin strip of lemon peel.
Grapefruit juice’s intriguing combination of sweet, sour and bitter notes is what makes this drink so refreshing. Salt the rim of your glass and you’ve got a Salty Dog instead.
Whether you’re throwing a casual brunch or an elegant dinner party, this bubbly classic is the perfect celebratory aperitif.
