With a little bit of care and thought, the old-school Whisky Mac can be reimagined and turned into something worthy of our more particular modern cocktailing palates, the Whisky Contardo, from bartender Adam Bernbach at Washington, D.C.’s 2 Birds 1 Stone.
- 2 oz The Famous Grouse Smoky Black scotch
- 1 oz Spiced Stone's Original Green Ginger Wine*
- 1/2 oz Yellow Chartreuse
- 3 dashes Orange bitters
- Garnish: Lemon peel
Add the ingredients to a mixing tin with ice and stir.
Strain into a coupe glass, express a lemon peel, and garnish with the peel.
*Spiced Stone's Original Green Ginger Wine: Blend 8 oz Stone’s Original Green Ginger Wine, 1 15-gram piece of fresh ginger and 1 gram white pepper and strain.
