This is a distant relative to the Martini—we think. The truth is no one knows exactly where this gin cocktail originated, only that recipes for it have been swimming around for more than a century. This one calls for the sweeter, rounder old Tom gin.
Ingredients
- 2 oz Old Tom gin
- 1 oz Sweet vermouth
- 1 dash Orange bitters
- 1 dash Angostura bitters
- Garnish: Lemon peel
Steps
-
Add all the ingredients into a mixing glass with ice and stir until cold (for about 30 seconds).
-
Strain into a chilled coupe.
-
Garnish with a lemon peel.
