Using an atomizer, spritz several squeezes of absinthe into a double rocks glass, thoroughly coating the interior.
Shake out the excess.
Add remaining ingredients to a mixing glass and fill with ice.
Stir vigorously, and strain into the double rocks glass.
Fill with cubed ice and garnish with a dried orange slice.
