Stone’s Shandy

Ruby-red-grapefruit-infused vodka makes this Shandy served at Stone's Throw in Houston a spirit-driven delight, while the peach bitters add a soothing dose of juiciness to round out the drink’s flavor profile.


  • 2 ounces ruby-red-grapefruit-infused vodka*
  • 1/2 ounce lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 3 dashes peach bitters
  • Pale ale-style beer, chilled, to top
  • Garnish: lemon twist


  1. Add all ingredients except the beer into a shaker with ice and shake.

  2. Strain into a pint glass.

  3. Top with the ale.

  4. Garnish with a speared lemon twist.

*Ruby-red-grapefruit-infused vodka: Add 1 liter vodka and 1 peeled grapefruit into a large container, seal with a lid or stopper, and let stand for 3-4 days, then strain out solids.
