This cocktail by Jim Meehan of New York City's PDT is a tasty mix of rum, cider, sherry, pear brandy and allspice liqueur.
- 1 1/2 ounces Banks 5-Island rum
- 1 ounce apple cider
- 1/2 ounce Gonzalez Byass solera 1847 oloroso dulce sherry
- 1/4 ounce Clear Creek pear brandy
- 1 tsp St. Elizabeth allspice dram
- Garnish: apple fan
Add all the ingredients to a shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled.
Fine-strain into a chilled coupe glass.
Garnish with an apple fan.
