For Halloween, mix up a whole bunch of this fall-flavored punch by bartending veteran Phil Ward.
- 4 sugar cubes
- 2 whole cloves
- 3 ounces club soda, divided
- 2 ounces Flor de Caña 7-Year-Old Grand Reserve rum
- Pinch of ground nutmeg
- 1 ounce lemon juice, freshly squeezed
- 2 ounces apple juice
- Garnish: apple slices
- Garnish: cinnamon stick
- Garnish: pumpkin seeds
This recipe serves 1 as written, but can be multiplied to fill a punch bowl. Top each individual portion with club soda when serving.
In a mixing glass, muddle the sugar cubes, cloves and 1 ounce of soda until the sugar dissolves.
Add the remaining ingredients and ice and stir until well-chilled.
Strain into a punch cup.
Top with the remaining 2 ounces club soda.
Garnish with apple slices, pumpkin seeds and a cinnamon stick.
