Horse’s Neck

A burst of C02 gives the traditional Horse’s Neck a breath of fresh air.


  • 1 1/2 oz Hennessy V.S.O.P Privilège cognac
  • 3/4 oz Honey ginger syrup*
  • 3/4 oz Fresh lemon juice
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • Co2
  • Garnish: Lemon peel


  1. Add all the ingredient except the C02 to a shaker with ice and shake.

  2. Strain into a Collins glass.

  3. Top with the C02 and lemon peel.

  4. *Honey ginger syrup: Combine 1 cup water, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup honey, 5 cup ginger juice and 2 orange peels in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk until the sugar dissolves, then cover and remove from the heat. Let cool to room temperature and fine-strain.
