Gentleman Jack features hints of banana, vanilla and caramel, making it the ideal whiskey for tiki cocktails. Peter Roccaforte takes advantage of this by adding some tropical elements to a classically constructed Whiskey Sour. The result is a cocktail that tastes fresh and familiar in the best possible way.
- 1 1/2 oz Gentleman Jack whiskey
- 3/4 oz Banana liqueur
- 1/2 oz Fresh lime juice
- 1/2 oz Fresh grapefruit juice
- 1/2 oz Cinnamon demerara syrup
- 1 barspoon Ricard Pastis liqueur
- 1/2 oz Egg white
- Garnish: Star anise
Combine all the ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake.
Strain into a chilled rocks glass.
Garnish with a star anise.
