Try this bourbon and sherry creation from top San Francisco bartender Jeff Lyon.
- 1 1/2 ounces La Bodega Oloroso sherry
- 1 ounce Bulleit bourbon
- 1/2 ounce Amaro Nonino
- 1/4 ounce Bénédictine
- 2 dashes Regan’s orange bitters
- 1 dash Angostura bitters
- Garnish: 1 Orange peel
Add all the ingredients to a mixing glass filled with ice.
Stir until well-chilled, and strain into an Old Fashioned glass over one large ice cube.
Flame the orange peel over the glass and drop it in.
Orange Peel Garnish
Strike a match and hold it near the drink’s surface. With the skin side of the orange peel facing the flame, squeeze the peel lengthwise to express its oils through the fame and onto the surface of the cocktail.
