Two types of peppers combine with mezcal, citrus, and ginger in this sweet-and-savory concoction from bar pro Julian Cox. Sure, there’s a lot going on in this recipe, but thanks to the versatility of agave spirits (in this case, mezcal), it all works to create a flavor profile you’ve likely not encountered before now. Balance, of course, is always key, and there’s a reason agave spirits make the perfect companion to savory flavors.
