Pour all of the ingredients into a shaker, add ice, and shake briefly. Strain and serve over crushed ice in a double Old Fashioned glass.
Garnish with a single fresh rose petal, and mist rose water over top for aromatics.
*Basil syrup recipe: In a small pot, simmer 2 cups of fresh basil leaves in 1.25 cups of water for 10 minutes. Strain off the leaves, and mix in 1.5 cups of sugar. Stir until completely dissolved, let cool, then bottle.
