Michael Dietsch is a writer and two-time author based in the Washington, D.C. area whose work focuses on cocktails and spirits. 

Experience

Dietsch first began documenting his interest in spirits and cocktails in 2009 on his blog, A Dash of Bitters. Soon after, he became a regular contributor to Serious Eats, writing about cocktail techniques for the home bartender, spirit trends and cocktail ingredients. Dietsch has authored two books, one focused on shrubs and another on whiskey.

Dietsch has a bachelor’s degree in secondary English education and a masters in library and information science from Indiana University Bloomington.
