John Daly

John Daly cocktail

Liquor.com / Tim Nusog

This boozy version of an Arnold Palmer is punnily named for the golfer who is, shall we say, known to love a good drink. The drink itself actually has some conflict in its history, as well. It’s said to have risen to fame at the Whiskey Creek Golf Course in Fort Myers, Florida, during the Dirty Gator Open, in which Daly competed. Daly was affronted by the use of his name without his permission and formed a beverage company so that he could start selling his own ready-to-drink version of the cocktail.

The drama of both the drink and its namesake aside, this cocktail is equally refreshing on the links, at the clubhouse or on your back porch.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 ounces vodka

  • 2 ounces lemonade

  • 2 ounces iced tea

  • Garnish: lemon wheel

Steps

  1. Add the vodka, lemonade and iced tea into a highball glass with ice and stir briefly to combine.

  2. Garnish with a lemon wheel.
