Jake Emen is a writer and spirits competition judge based in San Diego. He has been covering food, spirits and travel for more than a decade and has written for Liquor.com since 2016. 


In addition to Liquor.com, Emen’s work has been featured in publications including AFAR, Eater, Maxim, USA Today, Vice, Whisky Advocate and Wine Enthusiast. He is also a spirits judge for national and international competitions, including the American Distilling Institute and American Craft Spirits Association.
