Dan Q. Dao is a writer focused on travel, culture, nightlife, and food and drink with more than a decade of hospitality industry experience.


Dao has written for publications including Condé Nast Traveler, Esquire, Food & Wine, GQ, Paper, Travel & Leisure and Vice and previously was the deputy digital editor at Saveur and the assistant food and drink editor at Time Out New York. He has more than a decade of experience in the hospitality industry. While working as a staff editor, he moonlighted at New York City's acclaimed Middle Branch, where he learned to develop cocktail recipes. Beyond writing, he serves as PR director for Vietnamese coffee roaster Nguyen Coffee Supply and creative director for Madame Vo restaurant group.
