Bastille 1789 is the first hand-crafted French whisky that offers a unique combination of production methods and a revolutionary flavor experience. Master Distiller Jean-Marc Daucourt, wished to pay homage to his mother by creating a whisky unlike anything the world has seen. Having grown up in a family with 150 years of French wine making tradition, coupled with a father who was intimately involved in the production of Camus Cognac; Jean-Marc has benefited from a deep insight into the wine and spirits industry. A combination of traditional and cutting edge techniques bring out the natural characteristics of the different types of wood, water and "terroir". The barrel program offers unique attributes: Initial maturation occurs in New Limousin Oak, one of the most expensive and highest quality woods in the world.
