Ben Mims is a writer, cookbook author, recipe developer and former pastry chef based in Los Angeles.

Mims is the cooking columnist for The Los Angeles Times. His writing has also appeared in outlets including Epicurious, Food52, GQ, Rachael Ray Every Day, Real Simple, Southern Living and The Wall Street Journal. Previously, he worked as the test kitchen director at Lucky Peach magazine; he was a food editor for Food & Wine and Saveur; and he was a pastry chef at Bar Agricole in San Francisco.
