Booze-filled advent calendars have hit peak popularity and become must-haves for adults looking for their daily holiday season fix. We’ve seen everything from whiskey advent calendars to Baileys advent calendars, and now there’s something fun for wine lovers, too.
Direct Wines recently announced the nationwide launch of its new Wine Lovers’ Advent Calendar. Each of the calendar’s 24 windows holds one-quarter bottle (187 milliliters) of wine.
The selection itself is, of course, a surprise, but some of the wines the company notes include a top Champagne with two gold medals, a Bordeaux from the 2015 vintage, and a five-star estate Rioja. You’ll have to reveal the rest of the selection day by day throughout the month of December.
The Wine Lovers’ Advent Calendar is available online in limited quantities for $130. If you’re hoping to start December with a glass of advent calendar wine in hand, order before November 19 for guaranteed December 1 delivery.
Though pumpkin spice latte season is currently dominating our glasses, it’s never too early to prep for holiday gift-giving. If the impending stress of the holidays is already creeping up on you, maybe some wine would help.
