Why Aren’t You Playing Quidditch Pong Right Now?

Contributed by

Are you a Harry Potter fan? Did you love playing beer pong in college? If so, this new game that melds both the magical and the drunken into one is going to blow your mind.

Quidditch Pong, while based on the classic game of beer pong, also requires a set of three goals, two bats, a “snitch” and a “snitch cup” (you can buy the goals, snitch and bats on Etsy). It has an extensive list of rules, like “shots made through a hoop may be blocked by a beater using his bat” and “if the beater blocks a shot that does not go through a hoop, a one cup penalty is applied.” Of course, it’s also important to keep in mind that if the Seeker on the team makes a shot into the other team’s “snitch cup,” the game is instantly over.

While the game sounds as thrilling as any Gryffindor vs Slytherin match, the best part is that you also get sorted into teams based on the four Hogwarts houses—and there’s a unique set of rules for each team. Unfortunately, there’s no hat that decides the teams for you, so good luck arguing over Gryffindor while sloshed.
