Despite a half-century career with roles on landmark series like MacGyver, CHiPs, Knots Landing and Dallas, Goldsmith is best known today as the face of Dos Equis’ breakaway beer-ad success: The Most Interesting Man in the World.
With bronzed masculinity and a lilting baritone, the ads show Goldsmith doing everything from ice fishing to sword fighting, with voiceover narration that would put Chuck Norris to shame (“the last time he flirted with danger, danger got clingy”).
