Nothing says college more than cracking open a cheap beer while microwaving a Cup Noodles. But did it ever cross your mind that combining these two university favorites would be a great idea? One brewery in Fort Worth, Texas, thinks so.
The Collective Brewing Project has a creative history of making sour and wacky flavored beers, but the Cup O’ Beer might be the weirdest concept it has tapped into.
Its sour gose-style beer was brewed with 55 pounds of ramen noodles, resulting in a flavor profile that is “light and tart with notes of ginger, lime, lemongrass and a seaweed-cured sea salt.” Don’t get your hopes up, though: The limited release debuted on June 10, and supply is dwindling. If you’re in the Fort Worth area, it might still be available on tap in the draft room.
Regardless of whether or not you can get your hands on this bizarre concoction, there’s no doubt the nostalgia will be flowing.
