You Can Now Drink Pickle Juice Out of a Can

Contributed by

If you love picklebacks (a shot of Jameson Irish whiskey followed by a shot of pickle brine), then we’ve got good news for you.

Washington, D.C.–based Gordy’s Pickle Jar is now selling cans of Fine Brine, the leftover brine from its Hot Chili Spears, which are flavored with mustard seed, caraway, garlic, dill, coriander and hot chile peppers.

“It’s literally a burst of acid and flavor all in one that brightens cocktails and dishes in a very subtle, balanced way. It rounds out cocktails and cooking recipes similar to how a pinch of salt does,” says founder Sarah Gordon in an interview with Tasting Table.

You can purchase packs of four 12-ounce cans of brine for $16 to mix into your Bloody Marys, Micheladas or one of these pickle juice cocktails. If you have any left over from your bartending, the brine can also be used for salad dressings, as a meat tenderizer or for anything else you’d use pickle juice.

Cheers to pickles!
