Ever dream about stepping behind an iconic bar in a far away city?
Well, you can watch that exact thing happen on August 10. Because, as part of the Bar Shift Program from Dewar’s and Liquor.com, that’s the day Yael Vengroff from Los Angeles’ Spare Room will work a shift at Julie Reiner’s famed Clover Club in New York City, from 8pm to midnight.
The goal of Bar Shift, this exclusive educational exchange program, is to elevate and inspire professional bartenders across the country. Here’s how it works: Bar Shift sends a rising bartending star to an iconic cocktail bar in another city to work one night’s shift. During those precious hours, the bartender learns what it takes to succeed behind the stick at another of the country’s finest drinking destinations—and takes that knowledge back to influence his or her hometown bar.
RSVP now for a chance to attend the event on August 10 and watch Vengroff sling in person in New York. Can’t make it on August 10? Don’t worry: Bar Shifts are being hosted in major cities around the country throughout 2015. Your hometown could be next.
