First-Ever Nude Pub License Issued in London

You walk into a bar, look down and realize you’re fully naked. No, this isn’t a nightmare. It could be reality if you decide to visit Norman’s Coach & Horses Pub in London’s Soho neighborhood.

What started as a nude charity calendar featuring pub regulars sparked the idea for Coach & Horses to become the first drinking hole to apply for a nudist license. The bar was granted the permit and is now allowed to host nude nights for locals and tourists alike.

While the first naked eveing has not been finalized yet, pub landlord Alastair Choat said it should be scheduled for an evening in June, giving us all just enough time to bus our buff butts over to London for a pint and a peak. Choat said the nudity conducted will be prearranged and consensual.

Coach & Horses is known as the first vegan-friendly bar in London, and the stunt is all part of its commitment to stay independent and unique in the historically gritty Soho neighborhood. While it’s the first of its kind to offer strip-and-sip options, could this be a new summer trend?
