We hear a lot about record-breaking whiskey sales, but it’s not that often other spirits get as much notoriety—until now.
British gin producer Jam Jar Gin will soon debut the “world’s most valuable gin” at luxury department store Harvey Nichols. Morus LXIV is priced at £4,000 (US $5,167) for a 700-milliliter bottle and will be sold in “extremely limited” quantities. If you can’t stomach that price, there’s also a 30-milliliter bottle available for £200 (US$258).
The unique spirit is said to be distilled from the leaves of an ancient mulberry tree, with each leaf hand-harvested and individually dried. It has a cask strength of 64 percent ABV and is sold in handmade porcelain jars.
We guess you know what to get for the gin lover who has everything this holiday season.
