When it comes to Hello Kitty, we thought we’d seen it all. The world-famous Japanese franchise Sanrio had seemingly dipped its toes into all possible waters, including Hello Kitty wine. Now, Hello Kitty lovers can rejoice further still.
Next week, the first-ever Hello Kitty Grand Cafe is set to open in Irvine, Calif., at the Irvine Spectrum Center. The café functions in two formats: During the day, patrons can enjoy an afternoon tea, along with a “supercute” menu that touts freshly baked cookies, cakes, donuts, seasonal goodies and other house-made hot and iced drinks. You can even make a reservation for a special tea service that costs $55 per person.

At night, customers can sip on craft cocktails, inspired by none other than Hello Kitty herself, in the Bow Room, a private pink paradise hidden behind the main café. From the You Had Me at Hello (cachaça, aperol, lemon, sherry and pineapple) to the Whisker Sour (whiskey, China-China amer, lemon and aquafaba), there’s a little something for every taste (and lots of adorable puns).
Although cocktail service runs only on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from 5 to 9 p.m., with extended hours on Fridays and Saturdays, the Hello Kitty Grand Cafe also offers an arrangement of wines served throughout the day and night, including its own assortment of official Hello Kitty wines and prosecco.
