A ‘Harry Potter’ Beer Festival Is Popping Up Around The Country

Contributed by

Pop culture is invading our weekend drinking plans once again. While new pop-up bars from “Game of Thrones” to Lego debut every month, this time, a company is dedicating a whole festival to combining booze with one of our very favorite magical worlds.

Rock Star Beer Festivals will produce 11 “Harry Potter”-themed beer festivals this winter. If you live in or near San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Denver, San Francisco, Long Beach, Riverside, Portland, Austin or Scottsdale, you’re in luck.

The festivals kick off February 1 in Portland, Ore. You can expect unlimited samples of more than 20 winter, pumpkin and holiday ales and, of course, adult butterbeer. The venues will be decked out with a Diagon Alley and Hogwarts Great Hall, as well as photo ops and live music. Tickets cost $35.

Don’t live near those cities? Try making your own butterbeer at home.
