For the bartender who seemingly has everything—and is never in one place for too long—a limited-edition travel bar kit might just be the gift to give this holiday season. The Mavenhal Bar Bag brings new meaning to “one for the road” and is packed with pretty much everything a pro would need while traveling.
This year, the Seattle-based company, which specializes in creating bags for bartenders, teamed up with Simon Ford (of the 86 Co., producer of Fords Gin) to curate a toolkit of essentials. The Mavenhal Bar backpack is stuffed with a bottle of Fords Gin, a copy of Jeff Morgenthaler’s The Bar Book and professional grade bar tools (shaker, spoon, jigger, muddler, strainers) from Modern Mixology. Time to say goodbye to janky barware while far from home.
“This project started because a small group of us believe that, just as the home cook has equipment found in the best restaurants in the world, it is time for the home bartender to start using the tools of the trade chosen by the professional bartender” says Simon Ford.
The one-of-a-kind Mavenhal for Fords Gin Bar Bag retails for $399 and is available at Cocktail Courier.
